Hiya, Things are going really well with Ruby..She's starting to realise that she gets a treat everytime she toilets outside and the nipping has actually calmed down quite a bit...One thing I'm a bit worried about and I will mention it to vets when she goes for her vacs next week is that she is drinking so much water. She gets through about 3 bowlfuls a day. Obviously this means she is weeing loads too..I went out for 20 minutes today and when I came back there were 4 puddles of wee on the floor. I haven't been closing the door on her crate when we go out yet as we are still getting her used to small amounts of time of having the door closed..Mind you if she does this many wees in 20 minutes she have problems if she was crated

How much wee does she do in one go? does she do a little bit so often or just quite amount often.

The reason I'm asking is she might have urinal infection if she's doing a little bit too often. If that's the case, try get her wee something white. paper, towel, anything. and check the colour. If it shows any pinky colour, you better take her to vet.

If she's doing a decent amount often, well she's just doing all other puppies doing, so not to worry too much as she grow the problem goes away.

Given their different sizes, don't forget to measure how much water fits in her bowl so you can give the vet a good estimate of how much she's drinking.

Do you know that since I posted this she isn't drinking so much..typical.
I'll keep my eye on it though and mention it if it continues when we go to the vet
