If it's that cheap, probably isn't very good.

I will see if I can find it online, as I have never heard of it.

I had a sample of skinners its actually quite a good food i think there were no stockists by me though, I did ring and ask them a question about something and they told me that the reason its called orking dog food is that if it says that then theres no vat on it and its cheaper

I work for a pet shop called Seapets who have an online store and we stock skinners food. If anyone is interested the website is-

My GSDx and Amber are both on Skinners, the GSD is on the maintenance which is for off season dogs so their energy levels don't go through the roof - I suppose they would need the extra protein if they were working collies. Amber is on the puppy version.

This food was recommended to me by someone working at the dogs trust, the same standard at Arden Grange but a lot cheaper.

I'm so glad to see like these information on forum because you cannot tell if its good food o not from the price, can it. As we all know pedigree and Baker's aren't so good, they are still selling them quite high price aren't they.

I'll check if I can find skinners at pet at home next time when I wonder about there.

I have never found it at PAT, I've found a local independant stockist, maybe you can find someone to order some in for you.

Personally, I try to avoid brands that have 'meat meal' listed as the major ingredients as the quality of this meat can be pretty dire (the animals and bits nobody else wants often).

This link is a good list of ingredients to avoid, not British but still interesting - http://www.dogfoodproject.com/index.php?page=badingredients

Are you saying it's "meat" so bad that even a kebab shop would shun it? Wink
